About the team:

The Content Operations team operationalizes storytelling and facilitates gratitude with the support of 300 volunteers. Our team vets and posts each project request, from essay to shopping list, and then delivers the rewarding final touch to funded projects, the donor thank-you. Every day, a group of online teacher volunteers screen submitted projects, and in-office volunteers mail hand-written, crayon-covered student thank-yous to donors.

The Custom Screening Agent will work with a group of staff project screeners to ensure that teachers have an A+ project screening experience.

About the Role:

The Custom Screening Agent is responsible for reviewing some of our trickiest project requests and ensuring that teachers receive top-notch feedback about how they can improve their project requests. In addition to screening project requests to ensure they meet our site-wide eligibility, you’ll be evaluating projects against specific match-offer criteria so that qualifying teachers can receive additional funding through one of our partners.

You will:

  • Evaluate project requests from teachers using our site-wide eligibility requirements, to ensure that project requests meet our integrity standards.
  • Be an expert in several match offers on our site, able to quickly and efficiently evaluate whether or not a teacher’s project request is eligible for a match offer.
  • Provide feedback to teachers when their project requests fall short of our site-wide, or match offer eligibility criteria, so that they can edit and improve their requests.

You are:

  • Thorough, self-sufficient, and comfortable with repetitive, intricate tasks.
  • Meticulous when following instructions, and take pride in your attention to detail.
  • An A+ communicator. Your emails make people smile and you can explain just about anything to anyone.
  • Curious, creative, and open to learning from mistakes.
  • Tech savvy and comfortable learning new programs and tools quickly.

The Extras:

We value office culture, professional development, and fun. We’re an energetic team that loves what we do and values gratitude. Our office has an open floor plan which supports collaboration and teamwork. Agents are encouraged to attend events like our monthly All Hands meeting, in-office education events, and social gatherings! We also have plenty of coffee and snacks to keep you motivated, even on super busy Monday mornings.
