LCV is hiring a Local Clean Energy Deployment Director who will work directly with state affiliates to secure local clean energy project approvals and advance state policies facilitating the responsible deployment and approval of clean energy projects as part of LCV’s Clean Energy for All program. The Director will partner with 30+ state affiliates and LCV – collectively called the Conservation Voters Movement (CVM) – to design an integrated campaign in key regions, beginning with East Coast offshore wind, track and monitor local project decisions, and develop plans for advocacy and public education strategies. The Director will also ensure projects are grounded in social, racial and economic justice. The ideal candidate has experience working collaboratively with state and local-based coalitions and organizations, managing paid tactics in local campaigns and experience integrating racial and economic justice into environmental campaigns.
