Marketing:

• Develop and meet short and long-term brand expansion goals to increase the visibility and prominence of the BGCSV brand

• Cultivate new, strategic relationships with community partners, potential corporate supporters, and individuals that will serve the organization 

• Create and manage monthly corporate email newsletter

• Develop a plan to engage BGCSV alumni in a meaningful way

• Maintain up-to-date files of all written and electronic promotional materials, set up and track speaking engagements and facility tours

• Monitor and maintain adequate marketing and promotional materials

Communications:

• Manage press releases and public service announcements

• Respond to media inquiries in a timely and professional manner

• Manage website and social networking sites by updating and posting on regular basis

• Serve as the organization’s internal and external “official source” for approved messaging, public facing policies and procedures, and maintain a database of approved trademarks and branding guidelines

Special Events:

• Partner with the resource development team to ensure all events have adequate marketing, design, and logistics support

• Explore and develop new ideas for special events that could increase BGCSV visibility

• Provide staff support to CEO and other senior staff as needed in the preparation of materials and presentation assets for public appearances

• Update and maintain VIP list for all special events

QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES 

• An AA degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of general office experience. Experience in database management, preferably fundraising is required. 

• Proficiency using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher and the Internet

• Experience in the creation of basic video assets and ability to oversee improvements and editing of the BGCDSV web site

• Understanding of how to run basic office equipment

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Strong data analysis skills

• The demonstrated ability to work as a collaborative member on a team

• Ability to consistently work a twelve month position, including evening and weekend work as required and have reliable transportation to all work-related activities including evening and weekend work

• Must clear a Criminal History check and obtain an FBI Fingerprint Clearance. 

• A valid California State Driver’s License
