The Resource for Advancing Children’s Health (REACH) Institute is a 501c3 non-profit organization based in New York City.  Our mission is to ensure that the most effective scientifically proven mental health care reaches all children and families.

 

Led by national leaders in child psychiatry, psychology, and pediatrics, REACH arms individuals and institutions with the best, evidence-based therapies to improve the mental health of children and adolescents. We train primary care and mental health practitioners, school personnel, and parents and their advocates in the most effective mental health care interventions.

 

We are hiring a Program Assistant to provide support for three training programs: Patient-Centered Mental Health in Pediatric Primary Care (PPP) Program, Child/Adolescent Training in Evidence-Based Psychotherapy (CATIE), and Adult Behavioral Health (ABH). The Program Assistant will work closely with PPP Program staff and the Manager, Special Programs and Initiatives. Work with PPP Program staff will focus on the case-based learning calls for this program. Work with the Manager, Special Programs and Initiatives will focus on research, data entry, editing, and administrative tasks for the CATIE and ABH programs.

 

Primary responsibilities include:

 

PPP Program

  • Coordinating logistics of PPP learning calls
  • Communicating with PPP learning call participants and leaders 
  • Preparing and distributing notes and surveys for PPP learning calls
  • Creating certificates of completion for eligible participants 
  • Responding to email and phone inquiries regarding the learning calls
  • Entering call leader information for monthly invoices sent to call leaders

CATIE and ABH Programs

  • Conduct literature searches on trends in youth mental health, continuing education, and mental health clinician needs
  • Assist meeting preparation and note taking
  • Provide technical and administrative assistance during Zoom events
  • Monitor contact database
  • Update existing program materials as needed
  • Data entry and cleaning 

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and excellent interpersonal and organizational. Proficiency with MS Office, Survey Monkey, and Zoom required. 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Survey Monkey, Zoom, and G Suite products (Google Docs, Google Sheets)
  • Experience providing administrative assistance to programs
  • Ability to work well independently
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong writing and note-taking skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a small team and with program participants
  • Commitment to the REACH mission
  • Knowledge of pediatric mental health and psychopharmacology a plus
