    Description

This role is essential to reaching our aggressive goals and objectives. The Development

Director leads the design, execution, and evaluation of Equality Federation’s multi-year

fundraising strategies, ensuring alignment with both current and future budgetary

    growth goals.

The Development Director integrates our organizational values in our fundraising

strategy by modeling and upholding our Ethical Fundraising Policy. The Development

Director proactively communicates fundraising projections to inform organizational

planning. They also work collaboratively across departments to ensure effective

resourcing for current programs and future initiatives, aligning development efforts

    with programmatic priorities.

Finally, the Development Director leads a high-performing team of two full-time staff

and supported by external consultants, coaching team members to deepen

engagement with major donors, expand corporate partnerships, and cultivate

foundation support—driving sustainable revenue growth across all giving streams.

We want to add an experienced leader passionate about LGBTQ+ equality, social

justice, leadership development, and organizational capacity building to our team. We

know that our movement has historically left out people of color, especially Black and

brown people, Indigenous people, transgender and nonbinary people, people with

disabilities (including people living with HIV and other chronic illnesses), poor and

working-class folks, and many others. The work of repair requires addressing the role

racism, transphobia, ableism, and classism have played in our movements and

intentionality about whom we center moving forward. Our organization and work are

rooted in a racial justice framework that centers LGBTQ+ Black, Indigenous, people of

color, transgender people, and those living at the intersections of these identities.

We are seeking an individual who will play a role in creating a culture where each

member of our team is safe in their intersectional identities, empowered to bring those

identities into their work, and supported in their professional growth so we can be

innovative, empowered and thoughtful in best serving our community. You can find more information here.
