Position Purpose:

The Grant Manager assures that Interfaith Action develops and secures sufficient financial resources through corporate, government, and foundation grants to achieve the organization’s mission to unite the people, resources, and voice of the faith community in building a more just, safe, and livable community for all.

 

Position Function:

The Grant Manager is an integral part of our development team and reports to the Director of Development and Communication. This person manages Interfaith’s grant program from start to finish by working closely with the development team, leadership, and the directors of Interfaith’s programs.


Accountabilities:

  1. Develops, writes, and submits grant applications and reports on deadline. 
  2. Creates and manages annual calendar of grant-related deadlines; provides weekly updates on the status of grant and grant reporting.
  3. Works with program directors in writing grant proposals, including establishing goals, objectives, and evaluation plans.
  4. Works with program directors in establishing corporate/foundation revenue projections for annual budget.
  5. Oversees government contracts and grants including compliance and reporting.
  6. Maintains hard copy and digital files of materials needed for proposals and maintains records of all grants requested and received.
  7. Identifies potential new funding sources through research on foundations and searches of databases.
  8. Assists program directors with grant reports and submits reports by due dates.
  9. Completes other tasks as may be assigned by the Director of Development and Communication.
