Special Programs Coordinator

The Special Programs Coordinator is a new position at LiveOn NY and an opportunity for the right person to make an impact in the lives of Older New Yorkers. The SPC will work directly with organizational leadership to engage member organizations in key events, coordinate educational and networking events, coordinate new initiatives, and work across many of LiveOn's programs and departments. In the first year, this position will work specifically on membership engagement events, training coordination, and the development of and project management of a new program. This exciting position will allow the right candidate the ability to work on different projects, develop a new position and new program, work closely with leaders in the field of aging, and work at a dynamic and exciting organization. 

​Key ​Responsibilities

  • ​Coordination of events including membership meetings, roundtables, conferences, and trainings
  • ​Curation of content locally and nationally for resource center​
  • Development and Management of resources for senior service providers 
  • ​Production of event recaps, highlights, and other information sharing documents
  • ​Development and planning of strategy for a new outreach program
  • Project managem​ent of new program which may include scheduling events, coordination of material development, presenting on senior resources, performing outreach, and documenting outputs and outcomes
  • Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends if necessary
  • Other activities as determined and assigned by supervisor

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken 
  • ​Computer Literacy and Skills​
  • Willingness​ ​to deliver presentations​ to groups of seniors​
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Knowledge of ​aging and services for seniors
  • An excitement for working with seniors and LiveOn's Mission
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to carry out tasks as instructed with minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete assignments in a timely manner with follow through.
  • Ability to work in collaboration with other key staff and partnering agencies
  • Ability to lift 10-20 lbs

​Preferred Qualifications

  • ​Masters Degree (MSW or MPA preferred)
  • Knowledge of SalesForce Database
  • At least ​1 year experience in Senior Services setting​
