Description

The Oak Park Regional Housing Center (OPRHC) is hiring a Full-Time Accounting and Finance Manager to ensure excellent internal operations.


The Accounting & Finance manager must perform the following duties and meet the following qualifications:

 

Accounting & Finance Duties:

·        Manage and oversee Accounts Payable activities, such as bill entry, expense classifications, check writing, and payment remittance

·        Manage and oversee Accounts Receivable activities, including invoice generation, maintaining supporting documentation, receipt entry, bank deposit preparation and record keeping

·        Appropriately allocate the organization’s expenses to grant funds in accordance with grant requirements

·        Prepare and submit vouchering packages for grants

·        Conduct monthly bank reconciliations

·        Review the financial statements for accuracy with the Executive Director

·        Prepare monthly financial statements for Board Meetings

·        Assist with preparation for annual financial audits and program audits

·        Provide financial reports for grant activities to the Executive Director

·        Assist with the annual budgeting process

·        Manage and oversee the organization’s cash flow requirements

·        Manage and submit payroll every two weeks

·        Other tasks as assigned by the Deputy Director or Executive Director


Qualifications:        

·        BA/BS or similar degree from an accredited university or college

·        Ability to handle multiple tasks and demands on time

·        Experience in accounting/bookkeeping for Non-Profit organizations required

·        Familiarity with grant management and an understanding of fund management

·        Strong attention to detail

·        At least 2 years of experience with QuickBooks (QuickBooks Online preferred) in a non-profit setting and using Excel for reporting and analysis

·        Comfort with computers especially Microsoft Office products

·        Commitment to diversity
