A-SPAN is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Administrative Coordinator for the Development Department. A-SPAN’s mission is to transform lives by delivering housing solutions and pathways to stability. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Development, the Administrative Coordinator provides support to the A-SPAN Development department by delivering core services to support fundraising. The Administrative Coordinator plays a vital role in the coordination and delivery of development activities and campaigns by managing the administrative functions associated with all fundraising functions. The Administrative Associate must be “all in” – he/she must be willing to contribute and roll their sleeves up to get the job done in an efficient and accurate way. He/she must be creative and enjoy working within a growing nonprofit that is mission-driven, results-focused and community-oriented. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities and simultaneous projects. The Administrative Coordinator must be flexible, able to work independently, have excellent time management skills, and exercise discretion about confidential matters.

Be knowledgeable of fundraising and communication fundamentals, ethics, and trends in fundraising

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, juggling multiple competing priorities, deadlines, and tasks
Must have a friendly and socially confident personality and the ability to communicate with a diverse and varied population
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (required) and one to three years of professional experience. Very strong verbal, written, and organizational skills. Preference will be given to those who have experience using a fundraising database such as DonorPerfect. Must have strong interpersonal skills and a strong sense of teamwork. Proficient with technology and advanced PC skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
