Currently the Music Center’s Marketing Department is in search of a Marketing Department Coordinator.
The Marketing Department Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and implementation of a wide range of administrative, communications and logistical services that support the daily functions of The Music Center’s Marketing and Communications department.
The Marketing Department Coordinator works closely with the senior vice president; the director of ticketing and sales; the manager of audience development; the manager digital media; and the manager of digital initiatives to ensure the day-to-day functions of the department are managed in a timely and professional manner. The marketing department coordinator is responsible for supporting email marketing efforts; providing information and reports to other Music Center departments, maintaining financial records and information; responding to requests for information and tickets; processing invoices; and other support needs of the individual managers and colleagues in departments across The Music Center.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Compile and create reports, including, but not limited to, expense reports, ticket sales, budget tracking and marketing analytics.
Assist managers in the department in processing all invoicing for the department and filing accordingly.
Maintain accurate financial records and provide information to various departments as needed.
Develop and maintain a library of images, videos and marketing materials on the institution and all its programs so that internal functional groups can easily access.
Liaise with promotional partners, sponsors and resident companies for emails, images and content.
Maintain advertising production calendar and design workflow.
Traffic and launch digital advertising campaigns, including implementation, testing, deployment, delivery and optimization.
Coordinate approval process and trafficking for advertising, programs and communications materials.
Support the calendaring and flow of email newsletters for all departments.
Track ticket sales, generate reports and provide information at weekly meetings.
Fulfill promotional ticket requests.
Track promotional tickets for giveaways and promotional partners.
Manage appointment scheduling, providing necessary background material for appointments and
coordinating meeting logistics.
Attend meetings as necessary.
Attend Music Center programs and events as needed.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES INCLUDE:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or communications or related field preferred.
Experience preferred in the following areas: multi-dimensional marketing projects, online marketing and new media technologies.
Position requires three years of experience with progressively greater responsibility.
Experience working with arts organizations, museums or other comparable cultural institution is highly desirable.
Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as creativity, to support the development of marketing plans and promotions.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format and build and maintain relationships.
Good technical understanding and ability to learn new techniques quickly.
REQUIRED: Experience using a personal computer and with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Knowledge of Photoshop, video editing software and email marketing software (e.g., Wordfly, MailChimp, Constant Contact) and Tessitura is a plus.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience; this a full-time non-exempt hourly position.
