Job Description: • Develop and implement youth-centered curricula connected to Social Justice, Youth Development, and Artistic Communication skills. Led group of 15 student's total.

• Fabricate large scale mural based on in-depth research of community topics and social justice themes and reflect input from Community Partner(s).

• Teach discrete visual art skills such as visual literacy, color theory, and painting techniques and help youth synthesize these skills towards project goals.

• Raise youth awareness of historical and contemporary connections between the arts and social justice.

• Foster youth development through activities that build self-awareness/confidence, personal planning goals (college/career), and the expansion of social/community networks.

• Utilize project to help youth see themselves as agents of change and valuable contributors to the public discourse on social justice. 


 Qualifications: • BA or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum 2years teaching experience teaching youth (or related experience) • Strong organizational and time-management skill • Excellent group facilitation, research, and public speaking skills • Mastery of Visual Arts discipline (Lead muralist experience is mandatory). • Experience with community organizing, team building, community engagement event 

planning. • Must be available July-September Monday-Friday
