The Partnership is one of the largest, in-district public school transformation organizations in the U.S., and is not a charter organization. Our priorities are supporting great school leadership, developing highly effective teaching, and engaging families and community partners. Over the past decade, our high schools have seen their graduation rate more than double from 36% to 80% and college acceptances have risen by 17 percentage points in the last four years from 32% in 2015 to 49% in 2019. The Partnership is seeking a full-time, self-motivated and results-driven Development Associate to provide strategic support in its private and public fundraising efforts. The Development Associate will serve as a key member of the organization’s development team and work cooperatively to facilitate the process of soliciting grants and donations from foundations, corporations and individuals, and also support logistics for events and meetings related to fundraising and stewardship. The Development Associate reports directly to the VP of Development.

This position will require being in schools rarely throughout the fall when campuses reopen, but working remotely otherwise, as the Partnership home office remains closed. As such, this position requires living in the Los Angeles area.
The Development Associate’s key duties and responsibilities include the following areas:
50% grant reports and some grant writing, processing grant agreements through proper channels, maintaining a grants calendar and tracking system, and organizing meetings associated with grants and reports to manage process
35% toward general fundraising assistance, including research briefs, processing of donations and acknowledgement letters, data entry and clean up, compiling presentations, website updates, and support with development newsletter
15% toward support of fundraising events and donor stewardship activities such as days of service, Lundquist Fellows events and school visits
