We are currently seeking a candidate to fill the position of Director of Development. This position is responsible for planning and coordinating ECPAT-USA’s fundraising to support all programs and projects. The individual in this role will be expected to be energetic, enthusiastic and committed to the mission of protecting children from commercial sexual exploitation. Note that this position is specifically responsible for generating income production as outlined in the annual budget.

Development Related Activities:

Lead and expand ECPAT-USA's resource development and fundraising strategies (individual, corporate, foundational, faith-based, etc.)

Identify opportunities for new funding, write and submit grant proposals

Cultivate new prospects for individual gifts

Maintain, expand, and steward ECPAT-USA’s growing list of corporate partners along with growing our corporate philanthropy program

Launch employee engagement opportunities; lead workplace giving initiatives

Draft and send newsletters to the listserv

Work with our social media coordinator to highlight our initiatives, successes and ways to give in our communications

Lead and implement online campaigns, such as Giving Tuesday

Maintain relationships with current donors and write year-end appeals

Organize and implement various events and fundraisers.

Manage our ECPAT Athlete program (including our charity partnership for the TD 5 Boro Bike Tour) and our ECPAT Advocacy Journeys

Closely collaborate with the event Host Committee for the our annual event

Work in partnership with the organization’s Board Development Committee

Establish and maintain positive working relationships with ECPAT-USA’s stakeholders to achieve the development goals of the organization

Prepare and maintain current records of key donors supporting the organization and utilize our CRM on a regular basis

Other tasks and responsibilities as necessary


Bachelor’s degree in non-profit management, marketing, communications, journalism, business, or related field

Grant writing experience, with a proven track record of success

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including public speaking

Previous experience in development, including corporate engagement and/or partnership experience

Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and work under pressure

Ability to think and act strategically

Manage several tasks at once, be a strong-self starter and fast learner

Ability to maintain confidentiality
