Compensation, Benefits, and Opportunities

Salaries: Comprehensive benefits packages are dictated by the employer. Our partner schools offer salaries ranging from $46,000- $50,500 to first-year teachers, with experienced teachers compensated at a higher rate.

TWM Equity Fellowship: A two-year fellowship that recognizes educators committed to equitable, anti-racist teaching practices with a $10,000 scholarship.

TMW Black and LatinX Educator Fellowship: A regional cohort of Black and LatinX teachers designed to empower you through your education career and to close the opportunity gap for educators and students alike. Fellows receive individualized support and resources during their first year as a TWM teacher and beyond, including:

  • Anti-Racist and Culturally Responsive Teaching training.
  • Engagement with Affinity Groups and Networking opportunities.
  • Signing bonuses, scholarships, and other financial support.

AmeriCorps: TWM AmeriCorps members (ACM) learn strategies to employ Culturally Responsive and Antiracist Teaching (CRT) practices in the classroom, create space for student voice to promote agency, and make learning cooperative, contextual, and relevant to student's lives by guiding them through a service-learning project. Members are also eligible for the Segal Education award valued at $6,495.

Qualifications to Become a TWM Certified Teacher

You Have

  • Completed an educator preparation program.
  • An Initial or Professional MA teaching license (or equivalent license from another state).
  • Eligibility to work in the US.

We’re Seeking

  • Experienced, licensed teachers with a proven commitment to anti-racist practices and educational equity.
  • Educators with touchpoints in the Holyoke or Springfield communities, professionally or personally, or similar urban communities working for transformational student outcomes.
