Voices for a Second Chance is excited to hire a full-time Development Manager to join our team. This new position will report directly to the Executive Director and work in coordination with the Program Director. The Development Manager will lead all aspects of resource development, including:   

·      Create the organization’s annual strategic fundraising (resource development) plan

·      Manage existing funders, research, and identify prospective new funding opportunities, and proactively build partnerships that advances identified development priorities

·      Represent the organization in the community – partner agencies, donors, and the impacted population

·      Responsible for all foundation and corporate grant writing (letters of intent/inquiry and proposals) and grant reports

·      Manage foundation and corporate grant applications and awards, as well as reports to ensure compliance 

·      Coordinate and manage all aspects of fundraising, special events, and activities  

·      Support and deliver pertinent communication, including but not limited to managing content for the website, newsletter, social media platforms, and other related organizational collateral

materials.


Qualifications: 

·      Bachelor’s degree; at least three (3) years of experience in development preferred

·      Excellent and demonstrated organizational, oral, and written communication skills 

·      Team focused. He/she will work in collaboration with the team on the development priorities 

·      Ability to meet deadlines, especially when working as part of a team and independently

·      Flexibility, passion for and understanding of criminal and social justice, equity and policy reform efforts, and reentry issues are vital attributes for this position

·      Creativity, compassion, and the ability to articulate the vision, mission, and work of the agency to varied audiences as directed

·      Self-starter, ability to take the initiative on projects

·      Sense of humor

·      Strong computer skills: knowledge of MailChimp, Constant Contact, Little Green Light, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred 

·      Experience with social media platforms preferred 

·      Interest in social and criminal justice issues or expertise with a justice-related organization(s) preferred 

·      Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director


Salary and Benefits: 

·      Compensation range is depending on experience
