The Senior Paralegal assists Conservancy attorneys in providing legal services to internal clients, by providing paralegal, database and administrative services. Responsibilities may include assisting attorneys with contracts, real estate transactions, litigation management and other projects. Duties may include managing files, drafting routine legal documents, correspondence, and forms, entering data into the Conservancy’s database and preparing financial information for posting to the Conservancy’s general ledger. Duties may also include management and maintenance of portions of the Conservancy’s database, including providing guidance to internal clients related to database standards.
This position is a full-time, non-exempt position located in Charlottesville, Virginia. The salary range for this position is $47-49k. Applications should include a cover letter.
The position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in paralegal or legal assistant studies plus 4 years of combined legal and administrative experience OR equivalent qualifications acquired through coursework and/or relevant legal experience. Other requirements include experience with MS Office, Word, Excel, SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat and conducting research on the Internet. Experience writing, editing, proofreading and organizing is also required.
