The Bridge, an innovative and well respected mental health agency serving adults with serious mental illness, substance abuse, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and co-morbid medical conditions is seeking a Manager for its Facilities Department.

Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Responding to repair requests, coordinating repairs with the Director of Maintenance and building staff, ordering outside service as needed, similarly responds to emailed repair requests.
  • Coordinating purchasing of supplies and equipment, maintaining inventory, completing payroll for porters and handymen and processing paperwork for new hires.
  • Reviewing and verifying all vendor invoices and preparing for payment, interfacing regularly with Finance Department.
  • Maintaining records and monitoring all service and vendor contracts within the department, ensuring contracts are followed as agreed by obtaining written verification.
  • Maintaining and reviewing our fleet and gas cards; renewing our parking permits at the end of the year.
  • Scheduling and coordinating required tests and inspections of building equipment and systems as required by law.
  • All other duties as assigned.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent, some college or trade school desirable.
  • 2+ years in similar field; experience in one of the contracting trades a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines; flexibility and ability to tolerate and function in an active work environment with frequent human traffic.
  • Familiarity with NYC Buildings Dept., FDNY, HPD, DEP, Sanitation regulations and ECB hearing process is desirable.
  • Familiarity with RealPage is desirable.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone



Excellent compensation package.
