Description

The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse seeks a part-time Bachelor’s level Project/Administrative Assistant. The Center partners with healthcare systems, addictions providers, and state agencies to examine ways to improve the addictions treatment system and the integration of behavioral and medical care in healthcare settings. 

 

The position will be working with the Managed Care Technical Assistance (MCTAC) team, which is a training, consultation, and educational resource center serving primarily the substance use disorder treatment provider community within New York State. The MCTAC’s mission is to strengthen providers’ clinical infrastructure through training opportunities focused on implementing evidence-based practices and addressing the challenges associated with the recent changes in regulations, financing and overall healthcare reforms.

 

The Assistant will manage the day to day administrative functions of the team. This work will include:

  • Event Planning
  • Scheduling and Registration of Training Events
  • Travel Coordination
  • Securing and Distributing Continuing Education Credits for participants
  • Team Scheduling
  • Participating in ongoing development of Learning Management System
  • Managing all online event technology
  • Assisting in product design
  • Other duties as required

 

This position is office-based, three days a week, 9 am - 5 pm at a rate of $24 - $28 per hour and reports to the Director of Health Care Reform Consultation.

 

Ideal candidate will have Bachelor's Degree + 2-3 years’ work experience.
