Position Description


350 Bay Area is seeking an individual for a part-time Development Director position to oversee our individual donor engagement program working in collaboration with the 350 Bay Area Volunteer Fundraising Team and Executive Director. If you have a strong background in non-profit fundraising and development, interest in environmental and climate change issues, and the ability to work with volunteers, we encourage you to apply.


Key Responsibilities

Evaluate our existing fundraising portfolio and processes to develop priorities for improvement, with specific focus on increasing monthly donors and improving donor relations.

Assist the Fundraising Team with major donor program, including prospect identification and strategies to cultivate relationships.

Work with Communications Manager to improve ongoing individual donor communications, including targeted emails and social media, and print collateral.

Review Fundraising Team plans for donor events.

Qualifications/Experience


BA/MA Degree in Business, Non-Profit Management, Communications or related fields

5+ years of development/fundraising experience

CRM or database experience, preferably NationBuilder

Excellent written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills

Experience working with volunteers and diverse groups


Experience developing successful fundraising campaigns via social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)

Hours and Compensation

This is a contract position with the intent that it grow into a long-term position and encompass an increasingly complex development department (i.e. corporate relations, grant writing and management, event planning)  - ideal for someone who desires to work part-time and from home.
