WE’RE HIRING A TECHNICAL LEAD

Full-time position in a fully remote organization

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a highly-skilled software engineer to take on the role of Technical Lead. You will be continuing the development of our core web app, including all related technology decisions. Current tech stack includes (open to being changed):

• Operating System: Unix
• Frontend: JavaScript, React, HTML,CSS
• Backend: Google Compute Engine, Python,  Google Sheets  API,  Twitter API, BigQuery

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Design, develop, and expand our current application (see our product in action here) 
• Work with the CEO to set a vision and roadmap for how our technology will be scaled to meet the needs of a growing user base 
• Make architecture decisions to ensure a strong and stable product
• Manage in-house engineering needs and lead integration processes of partner API's to our platform
• Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage
• Drive performance, efficiency and effectiveness of engineering and product development team
• Rapidly iterate and test version prototypes by collecting internal and external feedback
• Build out our tech stack 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• 5 or more years of experience writing software, either on your own or professionally
• A strong product sense with an ability and history of building engaging tech for customers
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to share/collaborate with peers and users
• Have built and launched projects yourself, either at a company or on your own
• Ability to manage technical debt over time
• Generalist software engineering abilities (front- and back-end)
• Computer science degree (preferred, but not required)
• Experience working in an early-stage successful tech start-up (preferred, but not required)
• Experience building political tech (preferred, but not required)
