    Description

    We are looking for a part-time Development Operations Associate to join our growing team at Project Success. Project Success is a youth development nonprofit organization that helps students connect to their purpose.     The Development Operations Associate supports the data, gift processing, and operational functions of the Development team. They are responsible for database maintenance, gift processing, donor acknowledgments, document management, calendar tracking, and other operational tasks that contribute to the overall success of fundraising and donor relations efforts.

    This role is part of the Development team at Project Success.

    Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong analytical skills for managing data. They should have a working knowledge of project coordination and database management, particularly Raiser’s Edge, a commitment to safeguarding sensitive information, and excellent communication skills.

    Core Job Responsibilities

    Database Administration

    • Maintain donor and prospect records in the Raiser’s Edge and RENXT database
    • Develop and maintain reports requested by the Development team, Finance team, and the Executive Director
    • Work with the Development team to maintain data-related process and procedure documentation
    • Continuously improve overall data quality by identifying and correcting data inconsistencies and inform revisions to workflows and database practices
    • Proactively learn existing and newly released functions of Raiser’s Edge NXT database and other tools to utilize in work
    • Serve as the primary organizational contact for Blackbaud Customer Success team, for RENXT/Raiser’s Edge training, resources, and support

    Gift Processing

    • Process gifts and pledge commitments received via mail and electronically with accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
    • Evaluate gift documentation, conduct research on gifts, and communicate with relevant staff before finalizing entry, when necessary
    • Produce and send donor acknowledgments and year-end tax statements
    • Work with Finance team to reconcile fundraising database reports with accounting database reports
    • Create and mail annual pledge reminders

    Administrative & Operations Support

    • Track all grant deadlines and reporting requirements and action tracking in the development plan and grants calendar, Raiser’s Edge, and RENXT
    • Pull donor lists and execute mailing for fundraising appeals for the annual fund
    • Support the execution of annual large-scale fundraising events (Dreams to Action Breakfast, Fielding Dreams) and stewardship and cultivation events
    • Coordinate scheduling and print and prepare materials for donor meetings and events, as assigned
    • Conduct prospect research at the direction of the Development team

    Education, Experience, and Skills

    • 2+ years' experience in administrative, database, and/or coordination roles
    • Working knowledge of data and database management, particularly Raiser’s Edge
    • Understands the importance of equity, inclusion, and cultural competency and has a strong commitment to continuous learning and incorporation of new information
    • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Commitment to safeguarding sensitive information with the utmost discretion, care, and integrity
    • Demonstrated project coordination skills
    • Tech-savvy and proficient with Microsoft 365 – Outlook, Excel, Word
    • Adept at planning, prioritizing, multi-tasking, organizing, and following through
    • Self-motivated, extremely reliable, ability to take direction well

    Job Requirements

    • Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance
    • Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods, including movement up and down stairs and throughout office environment and at events
    • Must be able to lift 25 pounds consistently, and up to 50 pounds on occasion
    • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or be granted an accommodation prior to beginning employment

    Position Details

    This position is part-time, with 20-30 hours of work per week. The position is hybrid, with a minimum of 10 hours per week in-office at Project Success headquarters. Specific details regarding schedule and hours will be discussed during the interview process.

    The compensation package includes the following:

    • $23 - $25 an hour
    • 6 days of paid Sick & Safe Time, with unused days rolling over for up to a maximum of 10 days
    • SIMPLE IRA retirement plan with up to a 3% match
    • Free parking at the PS office
