The Assistant will work collaboratively with the Executive Director to advance internal and external project goals that support the organizational mission and vision.

The Assistant will get hands-on experience in the day-to-day management of administrative and programmatic functions of an international nonprofit organization. This position will interact directly with all senior leadership staff in the organization, as well as provide support to the board of directors.

The Assistant will support the Executive Director in planning and executing the following: (1) personnel management; (2) financial management; (3) project development and management; (4) donor relations; (5) internal and external communications; (6) strategy and partnership development.

The Assistant must have a keen attention to detail, superior skills in organizing and maintaining data and records, interest in continued professional and skill development, an outgoing demeanor, positive attitude, emotional intelligence, and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects at once.

The Assistant must be able and willing to perform repetitive, basic tasks, while also engaging in high-level strategic discussions and complex project implementation.

This position is ideal for someone interested in nonprofit leadership with the desire to evolve and grow in tandem with an organization, or someone who currently holds or held a leadership position looking to transition into a less demanding, more supportive role.

Due to the nature of the organization, fluency in Spanish is required and the Assistant must be physically based in Salt Lake City. Relocation expenses for exceptionally qualified candidates may be negotiated.
