As the Marketing Specialist, you have the opportunity to grow the Boys & Girls Club brand regionally. The Marketing Specialist has a track record of developing and implementing effective and comprehensive publications, marketing materials, web, email, and social media content. This position will work with our Marketing & Communications Director and other organizational leaders to develop and implement messaging, branding, and marketing campaigns to support the overall strategy of Boys & Girls Clubs of King County.
You will be a part of a two person marketing team and this role will directly support and carry out the organization’s marketing and communications strategy to increase engagement with current and prospective parents, teens, kids, and donors.
Brand Manager: Partners with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to implement national marketing and brand efforts. This includes executing several annual campaigns
Produce and publish content across channels and formats (blog, videos, podcasts, Tweets etc.)
Use social channels (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube) to effectively engage with Clubs, community, and key influencers
Coordinate with internal and external contributors to develop compelling and engaging content
Establish and manage work flow for creating, editing, publishing, translating, and retiring content
Assure that all content is optimized for search engines, sharing, and distribution across channels
Drive community engagement through the development and execution of a social media strategy and deployment of content across key social channels
Monitor and analyze google analytics, social analytics, and media coverage to inform future strategy
Create buzz and build followers through social connections and channels
Create Google AdWords and social media campaigns to market Boys & Girls Club programs and attract new donors.
Execute event marketing and communications plans to increase attendance and build excitement
Works closely with Marketing Director and other departmental leaders to ensure coordination of all respective fundraising and marketing efforts. Maintains open communication with team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partners with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to implement national marketing and brand efforts.
Assembles marketing materials to support club programming and the resource development department. Promotes community awareness of club programming and support for the annual fund program through written materials.
Website: Oversees all content on positiveplace.org, including coordination and editing all Club content. Monitors the website to ensure the content is accurate and updated.
Create ads for club programs, placing media buys, writing articles to expand the BGCKC brand into local communities.
Social Media: Ensures that social media is being activated and well utilized to broadcast the case statement and needs assessment that best reflects all of our Clubs to the public.
Data Analysis: Gathers analytics and other data to build statistics to evaluate current marketing program and to make recommendations for future strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Bachelor's degree
Two to three years of experience in a marketing or communications related role.
Strong, collaborative, energetic individual
Strong oral and written communication skills. Proofreading skills.
Graphic design, photo/video editting skills using Adobe Suite and/or Microsoft Publisher
Experience with marketing campaigns on social media
Hands-on experience with web content management tools, like WordPress
Project management experience: from strategizing to implementation, and the ability to shepherd projects through a complex organization.
A results-oriented individual—who demonstrates the ability to work well with people at all levels of an organization, warmly develops relationships with diverse constituencies and simultaneously employs keen judgment.
Demonstrated commitment to the mission of BGCKC.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or relevant field.
Demonstrated knowledge of marketing and fundraising best practices.
Understanding of nonprofit fundraising
Knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics
Photography background
Proficiency in MS Office
Good public speaking/presentation skills

HOURS: The position is full-time, 40 hours per week.
