Leadership for Educational Equity (LEE) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan leadership development organization dedicated to developing its members’ potential to ensure every child has the opportunity to receive an outstanding education. Our kids and communities Leadership for Educational Equity is a nonprofit leadership development organization inspiring and supporting a network of civic leaders to eradicate the injustice of educational inequity.

Through one-on-one coaching, fellowships, workshops, and resources, LEE works to develop and inspire its members individually and collectively, across all disciplines – as policy makers, advocates, elected leaders and community organizers. LEE membership is free and currently open to all TFA corps members and alumni. Position Summary

The Coordinator on the Regional Impact (RI) team will be a key part of the team’s Office of Vice President (OVP) and report to the Chief of Staff. the Coordinator will manage key projects to improve teams’ efficiency and support data evaluation and analysis. This role will support in monitoring teamwide finances, including creating and submitting regular expense reports. Additionally, they will support the team’s implementation of various technology initiatives - helping to improve staff and member experiences with virtual platforms.

This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who have a passion for data and possess strong organizational skills. Additionally, this role provides many opportunities to hone professional skills, build knowledge, and gain unique perspectives by working alongside ambitious colleagues and dynamic senior leaders. This role requires exceptional attention to detail and strong project management and workflow skills. An eagerness to learn and take initiative is integral to the role, as well as a high amount of flexibility. Finally, the role requires an ability to proactively create systems and document best practices to ensure we are constantly learning, improving, and developing ways to work more efficiently.

Position Location: Los Angeles, CA (preferred)

Travel Requirements: 20% - team conferences and occasional site visits


Project Management (30%)

  • Lead cross-functional projects with partner teams to support new initiatives and resource building for Regional Impact (RI) team, specifically around technology initiatives and supporting our team’s learning and implementation of programs and offerings
  • Liaise with RI team members to ensure project implementation is effective

Data Evaluation & Analysis (30%)

  • Build and execute process to ensure program data is accurate and up to date in LEE’s Salesforce database
  • Based on team needs, create and pull Salesforce reports quickly and accurately; provide data roll-ups and analyses as needed
  • Liaise with partner teams to build develop expertise in existing tools and partner to develop enhancements based on RI needs 

Goal Setting & Progress Monitoring (20%)

  • Create and/or enhance tools and resources to support team in meeting ambitious goals 
  • Support annual planning process by creating templates for team to use alongside partner teams and monitoring progress towards key deadlines

Team Expenses & Budget (10%)

  • Create and submit monthly expense reports for team’s Senior Leadership staff
  • Track, code, and monitor program and team expenses

Administrative Support/Special Projects (10%)

 Minimum Qualifications:

  •  A deep passion for and commitment to achieving educational equity 
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • At least 2 years of professional experience 
  • Ability to simultaneously handle multiple complex tasks in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to efficiently respond to multiple requests with a high level of professionalism and a customer service mentality
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills 
  • Exemplary follow-through and flexibility, especially in the face of unexpected challenges
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, often-changing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in budget management
  • Proven record of taking initiative to develop and/or implement new systems, initiatives, or strategies
