The Licensed Practical Nurse assists primary care and specialty physicians as well as mid-level providers in performing a variety of patient care activities, accommodative services, and assigned nursing procedures for patients. Ensures high-quality and safe delivery of nursing care as licensed by the New York State Board of Nursing.
Requirements: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent training and experience. Graduate of accredited Practical Nursing program and one year work experience, preferably in ambulatory or public health nursing. Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New York and CPR certification required. Demonstrated clinical competence, appropriate professional conduct, and ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively. Knowledge of medical procedures, medical law, and ethics. Experience working with an electronic medical records system. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual helpful.
