Job Title:     Development Coordinator of Development Operations, Full-Time

Reports To: Director of Advancement

 

Position Summary: LINC seeks a Development Coordinator to join its award-winning Development team which underpins the mandate of the Fundraising and Communications units to raise resources and increase the visibility of LINC’s important work. Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Development Team’s efforts to cultivate, solicit, and steward donors. This position is a growth opportunity for someone interested in the Development profession. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

 Key Responsibilities

●     Ensure data integrity through accurate data entry and ongoing clean-up efforts

●     Oversee the proposal and report development tracking process, ensuring the team stays on track and deadlines are met.

●     Manage the timely acknowledgement of gifts and assure that all types of donations (cash, pledges, matching gifts, and stock gifts) are properly documented, ensuring accuracy and consistency with LINC's style and messaging.

●     Assist with tracking of donor relationships, work plans and activities.

●     Help maintain fundraising reports to track goals, giving and fundraising activities.

●     Assist with the writing and editing of appeals, acknowledgements, donor news, reports, and proposals

●     Collaborate with Development team to plan special events

●     Other special projects as assigned

Qualifications

●     Bachelor’s degree required.

●     A minimum of two years of relevant experience preferably in a fundraising, nonprofit or academic setting is preferred.

●     Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to compose, edit, and expertly proofread correspondence and other documents.

●     Exceptional organizational, planning and administrative skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities.

●     Strong attention to detail.

●     Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to maintain tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality while representing the organization and interfacing with all levels of staff, as well as with volunteers, donors, and outside vendors.

●     Strong ability to actively listen and deftly navigate and manage relationships.

●     Demonstrated initiative and creativity; the ability to work independently as well as within a team.

●     Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite. Experience working with Salesforce, fundraising or relational databases strongly preferred.

●     Desire to learn Development Fundraising Operations.

●     Commitment to the mission of Literacy Inc.
