DESCRIPTION

The development data manager for N Street Village will provide primary management of all aspects of data – including the CRM – for optimal donor stewardship and program impact. This position understands the critical importance of data to aid in expanding fundraising, recognizes the need to maintain timely, accurate information, and searches for innovative ways to optimize data maintenance and growth. In partnership with the entire development team, this position will also help ensure necessary information is provided to effectively identify and cultivate donors in the moves management process.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Design and Management

●       Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for N Street Village’s CRM and data-related activities

●       Manage day-to-day operations of the database, including reports, queries, exports, mailing lists, email lists, and donor lists

●       Manage end-to-end income processing activities, including donor data entry, donor acknowledgments, and batch report generation

●       Manage end-to-end activities for in-kind donations including solicitation, receipt, data recording, acknowledgement and distribution

●       Implement strategies and procedures for database hygiene and maintenance, including periodic audits to track database cleanup efforts.

●       Manage portfolios of development team within the database


Finance

●       Serve as the primary staff member for the generation of dashboards for overall contributed income as well as specific campaigns

●       Serve as staff liaison with the finance team to ensure batch reports, disbursement reports, and monthly reports/reconciliation are completed in a timely manner


Staff Management

●       Manage Development Assistant, who provides capacity support for all data processing activities

●       Ensure the development assistant produces accurate, timely information

●       Provide professional development support


QUALIFICATIONS

●       Minimum of three years’ experience in data management

●       Experience with fundraising software (e.g. Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, Bloomerang) including data entry, reporting and queries

●       Highly organized and proactive, with strategic prioritization skills and strong attention to detail

●       Focus on optimization of systems and innovation to increase efficiency and outcomes

●       Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a professional and persuasive manner

●       Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher and PowerPoint 


Hours of Work

This position is full time (40 hours/week) with occasional evening and weekend work. Hybrid of in-office and working from home.
