HEALING BROKEN CIRCLES (HBC) provides opportunities to heal, learn, and thrive for those touched by the justice system. HBC runs the Reentry Community Center inside of Marion Correctional Prison in Ohio, where we offer strength-based, healing-centered programming, developed in partnership with the populations we serve and offered in a responsible, restorative environment where participants can experience belonging, exercise independent thinking and living, master skills, and give back and pay forward. HBC is a non-profit organization located in Columbus, Ohio.


WHY IT'S IMPORTANT

As Program Manager, you are the one organizing the Community Center team and expanding HBC’s impact daily. With people as the top priority, you will work collaboratively with HBC’s incarcerated and non-incarcerated staff of program aides, instructors, and leaders to build and actualize:

  • Impactful programming
  • Optimal day-to-day operations
  • A positive and empowering work environment
  • Outreach and community education around incarceration
  • Efficient, transparent, and mission-aligned personnel and programmatic procedures


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Program Manager leads the program team, maximizes operations, and focuses on improvement

leadership

  • maintain a cohesive, engaged and informed team
  • engage in productive communication with correctional staff and partner organizations
  • recruit volunteers
  • support growth of team members

operations

  • ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly
  • efficiently and independently manage administrative tasks, including scheduling, HR, volunteer coordination, and record keeping
  • assist in coordinating and managing events
  • facilitate courses and advise students—as needed

improvement

  • resource new programs and partnerships
  • record and monitor impact measures
