The Marketing Manager is part of Rocketship's National Network Support Team and is responsible for overseeing online and offline marketing campaigns for all of our regions (Bay Area, Milwaukee, Nashville, and DC). You’ll play a meaningful role in the growth of Rocketship’s impact by developing and executing strategic marketing campaigns designed to authentically attract more families to enroll in our schools and compel more change agents to join our team. You will develop marketing strategies, analyze and report on key performance indicators, manage market research projects, and oversee the implementation and usage of our CRM platform. You will engage targeted audiences across multiple channels to achieve goals associated with family recruitment, talent recruitment, and brand-building.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing online and offline marketing strategies (aligned with our mission and strategic goals) to reach and engage new audiences, working closely with the Family Recruitment and Talent Recruitment teams.
  • Managing and monitoring lifecycle marketing and marketing automation strategies through our CRM platform.
  • Analyzing and reporting on marketing data to inform campaigns, set goals, and evaluate effectiveness to guide work 
  • Project managing market research efforts in new and existing regions leveraging both qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Monitoring and reporting on website analytics to create a strategy for increased traffic and leads, including targeted content and pathways for key audiences
  • Assisting on marketing and digital marketing campaign research and execution 
  • Partnering with functional leaders and creative team partners to craft advertising and engagement campaigns

Required Qualifications

  • Strong passion and commitment to social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion in education
  • 3+ years experience in communications and marketing. 
  • 3+ years experience managing digital advertising platforms including Facebook, Google, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn as well as CRM systems.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills – you are an excellent writer.
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills - you can methodically break down a project into logical steps, determine key milestones and deliverables, and drive toward deadlines in an organized and thorough manner.
  • Professional and customer-focused with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working with communities similar to the communities that Rocketship serves. 
  • Proficiency with Google Suite products, especially Google Sheets and Google Slides (or Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint).

Desired Qualifications

  • Basic Adobe Creative Suite Editing Skills: Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro
  • Experience working in/with elementary schools and/or charter schools
  • Spanish fluency – strong writing and translation skills
