ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW: 

The Jewish Federations of North America (“JFNA”) represents 148 Jewish Federations and over 300 Network communities, which raise and distribute more than $3 billion annually for social welfare, social services and educational needs. The Federation movement, collectively among the top 10 charities on the continent, protects and enhances the well-being of Jews worldwide through the values of tikkun olam (repairing the world), tzedakah (charity and social justice) and Torah (Jewish learning).


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide full administrative support to the Senior Vice President and other professionals as needed

• Manage schedule and calendar, including meetings, conference calls, and travel arrangements for the Senior Vice President and other professionals as needed

• Book travel plans and ensure accuracy of travel itineraries

• Perform necessary administrative functions, including preparing expense reports, ordering supplies, ordering and planning catered events, organizing and maintaining print materials and files

• Prepare materials for conferences, programs, and events

• Handle mail merges, labels, name tags, creation of spreadsheets, and formatting of letters/documents

• Handle check requests, reimbursements and expenses for the department

• Manage and update mailing lists/databases

• Provide quality customer service both internally and externally

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent administrative, organizational and interpersonal communication skills

• Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is a must  

• Proficiency with Concur is a plus

• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information

• Flexibility and attention to detail; proactive approach to work product, commitment to continuous improvement

• An ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure

• Work well in a team environment  

• Ability to multi-task
