We are looking for an energetic, creative professional with at least seven years of communications and/or marketing experience in the small business/economic development/business development field. Project management experience is required, including developing and managing scopes of work and budgets. Lead communications experience is required. Marketing experience is a strong addition, and we will consider resumes with work in any of the following sectors: small business, business improvement districts, business advocacy, transportation, public realm and public policy, and/or community development.
Candidates should have experience developing and implementing results-oriented public involvement and communication strategies for a variety of businesses, stakeholders, and public and private client audiences; leading teams of varying size and expertise, coordinating efforts between multiple subject matter areas; and developing key messages for print and web/social media-based materials for a variety of activities/events.
This is a leadership position that will work closely with our Business and Community Development Director. In addition to contributing to overall organization strategy, the person in this position will help develop the voice of the organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, mixed with the ability to distill complex issues and topics, are essential.
The Alliance for Pioneer Square is a 501(c)(3) economic development organization. The mission of the Alliance is the betterment of Pioneer Square through advocacy, programming, marketing, and community action. The Alliance is comprised of neighborhood stakeholders, property and business owners, residents, and interested others. The Alliance administers the Pioneer Square Business Improvement Area.
