POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Responsibilities. The Project Director is responsible for management and administration of the project including: 

·       maintaining relationship with funder, including financial and program reporting;

·       supervising and supporting members of the project team; 

·       coordinating with community-based partners leading local and regional efforts;

·       representation in key meetings and fostering relationships with key stakeholders; 

·       financial, administrative, and evaluation oversight of the project; and 

·       communication of trends and priorities to funder and broader network of stakeholders. 

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS 

Advanced degree (minimum, Master’s) with at least 3 years of experience in managing community-based, multi-site programs. 

·       Substantive knowledge of public health, chronic disease prevention and management, community based organizations, and state and local public health systems.

·       Proven ability to write reports and program documents and deliver presentations. 

·       Excellent oral and written English communication skills; ability to communicate cross-culturally. 

·       Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software (SmartSheet) is a strong advantage

·       Demonstrated diplomatic, management, and communication skills to liaise and advocate with government, funders, and other key stakeholders. 

·       Fluency in Spanish is a plus

 

COMPENSATION

$75,000 to $82,500 annual salary based on experience. Position is full time. Compensation also includes vacation and sick leave and a generous benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan, and life and disability insurance.

 

POSITION LOCATION

The position will be based at the Alliance Headquarters in Washington, DC. Travel to program site communities and CDC is expected. Will consider basing this position outside of DC using a remote work platform.
