Portland Public Schools (PPS) is seeking talented people from diverse backgrounds and experiences to lead change and inspire PPS students. We hope to attract a Customer Service HR Associate for the Human Resources Department who models the core PPS Educator Essentials and is committed to being responsive, engaging, helpful and focused on finding the right solution with each customer seeking support within Portland Public Schools.  

The HR Associate will have exposure to all areas of Portland Public Schools HR department, therefore, the role will act as the first tier of support for employees by answering phones, responding to emails, and greeting those who contact the department. An ideal candidate is someone who is organized, technically savvy, takes initiative, has the ability to work independently, a transformative thinker and has a demonstrable commitment to racial equity and social justice.  

If you have a Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, or related field or any other combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities for this position, we are excited to review your resume, application, and cover letter.

Portland Public Schools is a public employer and participates in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS/OPSRP). Eligible employees are required by statute to contribute 6% of salary on a pre-tax basis to OPSRP/IAP, after serving six months under a PERS employer.
