TITLE: Quality Assurance Supervisor

SCHEDULE: Full-time position, 40 hours per week

SALARY: $82,000

Description

The Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor is responsible for the quality and completion of clinical charts, the quality and compliance of clinical documentation, the oversight of timely submission of progress notes, assessments and treatment plans, and the accuracy of billing in the Avatar system. The QA Supervisor assists the Clinical Director in determining client eligibility for Medi-Cal/EPSDT services, updates a clinical chart monitoring system, and works with individual clinicians to correct errors, improve quality of documentation and ensure accuracy of data entry. This position also provides up to 8 hours of individual and/or group supervision to pre-licensed staff and trainees.

Duties will include, but are not limited to: 

• Ensuring that HCN charts are audit-ready and organized in files
• Running Operations Reports in AVATAR
• Monitoring program productivity
• Holding weekly drop-in assistance times for clinicians who need tutoring in documentation
• Providing training to staff and interns on documentation standards and best practices
• Attending meetings and trainings as required by SFDPH
• Twice per month Program Utilization Review and Quality Control (PURQC) Committee meeting with Quality Associate, and/or Program Director and Clinical Director.
• Ongoing chart review of both paper and electronic records in AVATAR
• Identification of chart errors, requests for correction, monitoring of corrections and final resolution of                               
• General oversight and support of clinical documentation and billing issues
• Leading monthly onsite peer chart review with clinical staff and interns

About you!

• Have been licensed for at least two years as an LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or Clinical Psychologist, with a valid license for California
• Preferably have experience with AVATAR electronic system
• Preferably experienced in a supervisory role in Quality Assurance
• Experienced and knowledgeable in child development, especially in BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, POC) families and communities
• Working knowledge/experience related to issues of homelessness and domestic violence
• View clinical supervision as a responsibility to the next generation of mental health practitioners
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
• Be genuinely caring, enthusiastic, and team-orientated to match our diverse and devoted staff
• Positive attitude and team player with proven ability to work with people of different intersecting identities
• Open to working remotely based on COVID-19 safety guidelines, but willing to travel throughout San Francisco to meet with youth and families once safely able to do so
