Rutgers University-Newark, an urban public research university and anchor institution located in Newark, New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator for Clement A. Price Institute on Ethnicity, Culture, and the Modern Experience.


The Program Coordinator’s duties include but are not limited to:


Assisting with efficient and accurate maintenance, review, monitoring, and management of budget, payroll and human resources information and transactions for the Price Institute

Arranging and coordinating logistics and assisting with the content of programs, events, and meetings including catering arrangements, space reservation, travel arrangements, coordinating event staff and volunteers, and the creation and distribution of event flyers and programs

Managing event registration, transporting event materials, collecting evaluation materials, and coordinating logistics with venue staff

Assisting with the coordination of event and program publicity, marketing support, including social media, fundraising efforts, and grant proposals

Coordinating event evaluation processes, collecting and organizing data, and assisting with analysis for inclusion in documents and reports

Acting as an initial point of contact for the Price Institute, interacting extensively with the University community, the external community, and funders


 Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities       


-         Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office databases and Adobe

-         Ability to multi-task, work independently, give attention to details, and communicate effectively

-         Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and foster a cohesive, team-oriented culture

-         Excellent organizational skills are essential
