Position Description 

The U.S. Soccer Federation is seeking a Development Coordinator, who will be responsible for executing the day-to-day operations of the fundraising programs, including providing stellar donor stewardship and executing team communications plans. This individual will manage a robust portfolio of mid-level donors, deliver donor benefits, and assist on all projects to help raise funding in support of U.S. Soccer's mission. 


Primary Responsibilities 

  • Work closely with the Director of Development and other U.S. Soccer staff to help U.S. Soccer achieve its annual fundraising goal
  • Actively manage, fundraise and steward a portfolio of mid-level donors and contribute in select Major Gift proposals and Major Gift donor management
  • Provide daily support, communication, and excellent customer service to elite supporters, donors, and donor prospects, including collaborating across departments to seamlessly manage the ticketing and benefits fulfillment process for high-level donors
  • Manage content and distribution of monthly development communications and collaborate across departments to develop and execute communications strategies around unique programs and campaigns
  • Update and maintain U.S. Soccer’s database of donors and donor prospects 
  • Support in the planning and management of unique, high-access special events for donors and donor prospects 
  • Assist with miscellaneous duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • 1-2 years of successful professional fundraising experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including public speaking, combined with a professional demeanor and active listening skills
  • Superb customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail 
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs 
  • Database management and experience with Salesforce a plus 
  • Ticketing experience a plus
  • Graphic design experience a plus
