Description

We are hiring ELA and math teachers for Steppingstone’s out-of-school time academic programs for the 2018-2019 school year. Salaries for these positions are $6100 (TSA) and $4000 (CSA) for the full academic year.


Academic Year Teaching Positions: TSA

  • Math and English teachers needed for grades 5 & 6.
  • Classes held at Boston Latin Academy in Dorchester.
  • Class Schedule: September – December:

Wednesdays from 4:15 – 6:45 p.m.

Saturdays from 8:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.

  • Class Schedule: January – May:

Wednesdays from 4:15 – 6:45 p.m.

Saturdays from 8:45 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.

  • Teachers must commit to teach for the entire school year.


Academic Year Teaching Positions Available: CSA

  • Math and English teachers needed for grades 5 & 6. Note that English teachers will teach two unique classes:
  • Visual Thinking Strategies and Blogging. Applicants must be comfortable with, or open to learning, Google Drive and Blogger.
  • Classes held at the Edison School in Brighton and the McKay School in East Boston (teachers will teach at one location)
  • Class Schedule: September – May:

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 – 5:45

  • Teachers must commit to teach for the entire school year.


Qualifications: Candidates must have teaching experience, a strong background in their subject area, experience differentiating classroom instruction, and an interest in working with diverse populations. Independent school or Boston Public Schools teaching experience is preferred. Graduate students will be considered; undergraduate degree is required. Certification is not required.
