Job Description:

Global Partners for Development seeks an employee to step into a dual bookkeeping and marketing position. As a bookkeeper, you will support our staff and be responsible for providing general administrative, office, and program support related to the organization's financial operations. As a marketing coordinator, you will assist with the overall planning and execution of our marketing and event efforts.

Duties with respect to bookkeeping include but are not limited to:

-         Prepare weekly deposits and post correlating entries into Quickbooks

-         Prepare and send weekly donor acknowledgement emails and letters

-         Enter and reconcile monthly bank and credit card statements into Quickbooks

-         Assist with payroll and other human resources tasks

-         Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Duties with respect to marketing include but are not limited to:

-         Communicate with stakeholders, coordinate logistics, and develop and manage promotional strategies for fundraising campaigns and events

-         Research and negotiate with vendors, such as restaurants, for events

-         Recruit and manage volunteers for events

-         Secure and manage donations for silent and live auctions

-         Assist with development of the organization’s social media calendar and postings

-         Track, analyze, and report on social media analytics

-         Assist with the preparation of marketing materials

-         Miscellaneous duties as assigned


-         Bachelor’s degree (or currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program)

-         Excellent organizational, computer, writing, and office skills

-         Must be an excellent team player and problem-solver who can balance multiple tasks and responsibilities

-         Proficiency in Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel (or willingness to learn)

-         A background in accounting or bookkeeping strongly preferred

-         Event management, marketing, or communications experience preferred

$15-20 per hour commensurate with experience. 32 hours per week with potential for growth.
