Hiring and developing talented staff is central to our conservation success. The Talent Manager provides vital expertise and innovation in recruitment and staff development, functioning as a valued partner to hiring managers, supervisors and staff. They manage confidential and sensitive information, have an awareness of California’s unique HR requirements, are highly organized and will be involved in execution of a variety of talent development programs throughout the chapter.
Desired Skills & Experience
Our ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or a related field, at least 5 years of related experience, and an ability to work independently as well as on teams. The most successful candidate will have a proven track record of sourcing and hiring top talent, an appetite for learning, a passion for diversity and inclusion, an awareness of California’s unique HR requirements, and a desire and ability to improve and streamline existing processes. Facilitation/training experience a plus. Like nature, our work is always evolving, so flexibility and a sense of adventure is also helpful!
The location of this position is flexible between our offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Sacramento and San Diego.
