The LDC Implementation Coach, a critical member of the Literacy Design Collaborative (LDC) team, will play an integral part in transformational national school reform focused on implementing the College and Career Ready Standards including the Common Core through intensive instructional practice shifts that leverage leading edge technology and a national community of teachers. This full-time position reports to the Chief Academic Officer and includes access to confidential and discretionary information and the exercise of judgment making the position exempt.

LDC is a non-profit public charity, a 501(c)(3).

Roles and Responsibilities

● Project manage district curriculum alignment projects, including building and maintaining key relationships with district and school leaders, supporting quarterly data reviews, on-site leadership support, analytics analysis and reporting

● Facilitate Curriculum Alignment, Coach Certification, and LDC LEARN in sites across various states, including both in-person and virtual, synchronous and asynchronous facilitation

● Facilitate in-person and virtual professional learning, including courses, walk throughs, strategic planning sessions

● Assist in codifying materials used in district implementations into generalizable materials to be shared nationally

● Support the development of LDC resources by assisting with course revisions and additions and managing the coaching content work plan

● Provide content development management and support by developing alignment materials including scope and sequence, teacher evaluation, leadership resources, and quarterly peer review

● Facilitate professional learning pilots

● Lead national and regional curriculum alignment quarterly reviews and workshops

● Establish and maintain open and positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including, but not limited to, administrators, teachers, partners, and the LDC Community of Practice

● Requires at least 50% travel

Education and Experience

● LDC Coach Certification preferred, Expert Coach status preferred

● School leadership experience (as an administrator, instructional coach, central office or DOE role) preferred

● Deep expertise in backward design, disciplinary literacy, and formative assessment required

● B.A. required. Master's preferred

● Project management experience required

● Knowledge of and commitment to public education

● Strong literacy professional development and/or school transformation experience

● Knowledge of and/or experience with LDC as a teacher, coach, and/or site lead required Required Skill Sets and
