Health Law Advocates is growing! We have opportunities for four paralegals to join our fight for health care justice.

HLA provides free legal services to Massachusetts residents in low-income situations who face barriers to accessing health care.

·      Our General Legal Practice (GLP) specializes in challenging denials of health insurance enrollment, fighting denials of coverage, and protecting patients from illegal medical billing and collection practices. Our GLP includes special attention on the health care needs of immigrants, transgender people, and people with physical disabilities.

·      Our Mental Health Advocacy Program for Kids (MHAP for Kids) diverts children with unmet mental health needs from the juvenile justice system by helping them access mental health services. MHAP for Kids has a particular focus on helping children with mental health needs succeed in school.

Two paralegals will join our GLP team and two will join our MHAP for Kids team.
