Description

The Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing and strengthening operations of Project HEAL’s Communities of HEALing Program.  They will ensure excellent program delivery, development of new stakeholders and team members, and quality control and evaluation. The Program Manager supervises a robust volunteer network, and consults on expansion plans to new markets. The Program Manager will be a key representative of Project HEAL in the community. Key responsibilities will include:


Volunteer Recruitment:

  • Create and implement a recruitment plan for volunteer Mentors and Group Facilitators
  • Work with Marketing and Communications staff and volunteers to develop visual and written content for email and social media
  • Work with Chief Programs Officer to conduct outreach to potential referrers
  • Review applications, conduct interviews, and evaluate volunteer candidates


Training:

  • Facilitate in-person and online trainings for COH volunteers
  • Review assignments and provide feedback
  • Conduct assessment of trainees
  • Solicit feedback from training participants and revise training


Volunteer Supervision:

  • Plan and deliver regular supervision calls for volunteer cohorts
  • Conduct in-person site visits and provide feedback to group facilitators
  • Support local volunteers in their recruitment and operations responsibilities


Administration:

  • Manage volunteer schedule and monitor attendance for all required program components
  • Identify and secure space for group meetings and trainings
  • Track group attendance and attendee paperwork
  • Work with research partnerships to ensure effective administration of study design
  • Work with key staff to develop objective performance measurements across all sites, to ensure consistent, high-quality evaluation and goal setting for all future employees and volunteers
  • Work closely with Project HEAL’s Executive Staff to create and implement annual goals and provide updates on progress

As a prerequisite, the successful candidate must believe in the core values of Project HEAL and be driven by the mission.  


While there are no minimum educational requirements for this position, the successful candidate will demonstrate a track record of success in training and facilitation, and managing volunteers and diverse stakeholders.
