Responsibilities

Growth planning and sustainability

• Conduct research to support the growth planning of Ascend Public Charter Schools by gathering qualitative and quantitative, granular, neighborhood level data from various resources including state and
• local sources
• Distill large sets of data into meaningful analysis leading to executive level presentations, written reports, and visuals to support the recommendation of actionable steps regarding the location of new
• Ascend schools
• Lead the information gathering and reporting process for charter renewals and serve as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
• Organize and host informative visits for charter authorizers, grant funders, and other external stakeholders as needed
• Guide the story telling of Ascend's evolving accomplishments and focus in serving Brooklyn low socio-economic students
• Support other strategic initiatives as required that have strong quantitative and analytical as well as storytelling components
• monitor progress towards goals, and utilize appropriate communication tools including dashboards, project plans, and road maps

Qualifications

• Bachelor's required and master's degree preferred
• 3+ years of experience preferably in a highly analytical and strategic role
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills including experience generating executive level recommendations and insights
• Experience with project or program management, preferably in education or non-profit related fields
• Executive communication skills including the experience creating and presenting materials to a variety of stakeholders including executive leadership and boards
