Develop the training calendar with input from RICADV staff, coordinate logistics leading up to each training, and conduct post-training wrap-up activities. (Tasks include brainstorming training topics, managing timeline, selecting and hiring trainers, writing training objectives and descriptions, coordinating the marketing of training events through social media and Constant Contact, organizing the details of each training event, completing data entry, etc.)
Convene committees, facilitate meetings with member agency staff and community partners, lead trainings, and provide technical assistance as needed.
Work in collaboration with the RICADV’s Prevention Team to manage the Deborah DeBare Domestic Violence Prevention Fund.
Provide outreach and community engagement support to all RICADV teams (e.g., assist with policy event communications and turnout and Domestic Violence Awareness Month distribution of materials).
Provide support to SOAR, including logistical support during monthly meetings and events, in partnership with the SOAR Coordinator.
Represent the RICADV on task forces and statewide committees by attending meetings and being a voice for victim safety and batterer accountability.
Coordinate and oversee internal and external programs, including visioning, planning, collaboration, execution, and evaluation.
Work with member agencies and affiliate members to provide support, monitoring, and technical assistance.
Work in partnership with RICADV staff, member agencies, and others in order to meet the mission of the RICADV.
Three years’ experience in domestic violence prevention/advocacy, community engagement/organizing, or comparable experience; excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, relationship building, networking, planning, and organizational skills; strong skills as a trainer and facilitator; ability to work independently, take initiative, and work as part of a team. Social media savviness is a plus. Must have interest and experience in working with a wide range of communities. Must have the ability to travel statewide.
