We create innovative solutions to tough problems in economic mobility, health, education, consumer finance, safety and justice, energy efficiency and international development. We’re a nonprofit with more than 80 active projects in the United States and around the world, working closely with partners from government, foundations, NGOs and corporations. Some example projects include:

  • Partnering with public universities to design and test behavioral strategies for increasing student retention and degree completion rates, such as an innovative mechanism for disbursing financial aid refunds at community colleges
  • Working with service and technical assistance providers to improve the quality of family planning and reproductive health services in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia

The Role

The right candidate is a highly motivated individual with a passion for helping team members. This new role has been created to support the rapidly growing team ensure the Talent function is able to use data-driven insights for organizational excellence. The candidate must be adaptable, willing to get the job done, detail oriented and have a spirit of playfulness. This role’s unique opportunity includes:

[40%] Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Manage logistics and scheduling for recruitment of all team members and onboarding training programs
  • Maintenance and administration of HR systems (Jazz, PeopleGoal)
  • Train new team members on the organization’s recruitment processes
  • Administer and analyze onboarding surveys
  • Analyze candidate recruitment profile scores to create and develop onboarding profiles
  • Supports the recruitment, onboarding and program management for the Summer Internship Program

[30%] Talent Data Management

  • Manage the analysis of recruitment, promotion and exit data to support strategic initiatives
  • Ensure Organizational Learning resources and facilitators are prepared for trainings
  • Provide analysis and insights on goal setting, feedback and other talent data to suggest improvements and inform strategy
  • Supports administration, analysis, and dashboard creation for the organizational performance survey, manager survey, diversity survey, etc. (Qualtrics, Google Forms)

[15%] Staffing Allocation Support

  • Primary liaison between recruiting and operations for project staffing
  • Assists operations in the management of workforce planning needs
  • Supports Hiring Managers on international contractor needs

[15%] Culture Champion

  • Leads the 30-60-90 day new hire experience that facilitates a smooth acclimation to the organization
  • Supports keeping the team apprised of Talent Initiatives and implementation of behaviorally optimized processes and programs while keeping culture first
  • Supports ad-hoc inquiries relating to supporting managers on feedback, HRIS issues (Jazz, PeopleGoal), international contractors, visa support, etc.
  • Supports the planning and execution of team activities such as the holiday party, annual retreat, Sr. Team offsites and other engagement activities

A passion for understanding human behavior, pursuing innovation, and promoting the social good is critical. Specific qualifications include:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 0-4 years of relevant work experience
  • Mission-aligned, self-starter, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical skills with strong proficiency in Excel, MS Office and Google Suite applications 
  • Working knowledge of survey software, methods and statistics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a commitment to high-quality output
  • Record of academic excellence
  • Smart, logical and structured thinkers, who are also creative
