The Rockefeller University, the world’s premiere research university, seeks an Infection Control Coordinator to join our Hospital Medical Direction team.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Oversee the infection control program in a unique hospital environment
  • Work across hospital departments to develop infection control policies and practices
  • Provide training to all staff, including custodial staff; and will assist in compliance with TJC (The Joint Commission) standards, and other standards relevant to sterile processing, food preparation and environment of care
  • Responsible for staffing the Infection Control subcommittee of the Medical Staff

Level of Language Proficiency

Who you are 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; educational emphasis in nursing or other clinical field preferred and 2-3 years of experience in hospital infection control
  • APIC (Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology) certification required
  • Competent in Word, Excel, and web-based applications and information sources
  • Self-directed with excellent communication skills, attentive to detail, and experience in public speaking a plus
  • Available to work 15 hours per week
