The First District Appellate Project, a congenial 14-attorney public interest non-profit law firm specializing in criminal and juvenile appeals, seeks a well-organized person with advanced computer skills to provide technical and document-processing assistance to attorney and support staff. (This is not a systems administrator or software engineer position.)
Core responsibilities include running database queries and reports, being a liaison to outsourced IT support, assisting staff with workstations and software, presentation equipment set up, website updates, and creating tables of contents and authorities for legal documents. As we are a small office, position also includes backup to other staff with data entry, answering phones, processing legal briefs, and other tasks as assigned.
Candidate must have advanced organizational skills and be adept at communicating clearly and patiently when assisting staff with technology problems and projects. Facility with Microsoft Office software, Google Apps, and presentation software and equipment is a must. Experience with relational databases is a plus. Ability to lift 50 pounds required,
