The Protective Services Caseworker engages in activities related to the determination of eligibility for protective services and the provisions of services to elderly persons determined to be suffering form a reportable condition of abuse. Will evaluate the functional, medical, mental status situation and resources of the elder. Completes regularly scheduled home visits in accordance with EOEA guidlines.
Minimum BSW/LSW and 2 years of experience in counseling/case management. MSW/LCSW strongly preferred. Experience in crisis work as well as experience working with individuals and families around mental illness or substance abuse issues preferred. Fluency in a second language (Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole) a plus. Vehicle required.
