PROGRAM COORDINATOR, Office of Graduate Education, to coordinate and perform operational and administrative activities for the Sloan-MIT University Center for Exemplary Mentoring (UCEM) in MIT’s Office of Graduate Education (OEG). These activities (70% effort) include managing the scholar applications process; planning and staffing events for community building, recruitment, and retention; performing data analysis and reporting for sponsor progress updates; and managing the program budget. Will also collaborate with the assistant dean and director of diversity initiatives (30% effort) to develop and support professional and scholar development programming efforts for the broader URM graduate population served by OGE.

 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: a bachelor’s degree; at least three years of administrative, operations, and/or project/program management experience; excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and written and oral communication skills; attention to detail; ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced professional environment; a desire to collaborate with internal and external partners; an interest in working with underrepresented populations; and proficiency with standard data management software such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Suite, and SurveyMonkey. Experience serving as a significant contributor to diversity and inclusion efforts, working with diverse populations in higher education preferred. Job #16688-N

 

Salary range: $53,000-60,000

Must be willing and able to staff evening and weekend community building events (two to three per month).
