AHRC NYC seeks Community Support Supervisor – Camping and Recreation to assist with the management and supervision of community recreation programs for children, teens and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Mentor, train and support new program Supervisor(s) and staff to ensure a smooth transition into the role. Develop safe and supportive programs that help develop self-direction of the individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities; through assigned staff, independence, productivity and community inclusion while protecting their health, safety, well-being and civil rights. Visit and evaluate all assigned community recreation programs on a regular basis, providing on-site supervision to staff. Ensures that individuals supported are safe and living healthy lives by monitoring safety issues, coordinating, monitoring and documenting health and wellness supports through a protective outsight plan.  Monitor and ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies including AHRC agency philosophies, and polices, the Department of Health codes, OPWDD, federal and city governments, federal waiver regulations and HIPAA laws with directors. Functions as liaison between Service Coordination Services and recreation programs. Ensure the quality of programming and individual care in all activities; ensure there is adequate supervision for the service needs of the individuals at the program. Analyze, and interpret regulations, policies, procedures, and program goals in addition to writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Hire, train, supervise and evaluate employees in program. Review applications and interview new applicants and assign to appropriate programs. Maintain ongoing contact with participants and families. Provide quarterly reports, weekly progress notes and levels of services punctually, ensuring that each assigned program meets contracted levels of service. Manage all aspects of waiver services, government funded programs, city contracts and billing for assigned programs. Design, develop and implement programs that will help individuals with developmental disabilities improve their overall function, skills of daily living, independence and socialization and behavioral responses. Assist with the assessment of community environments and tailor supports to assist individuals. Enhances staff relations by using effective communication skills, encouraging growth and self-development, facilitating teamwork, employing conflict resolution skills, and providing adequate supports to staff.  Assist with the development and implementation of staff orientation and training. Orchestrate independent vacation programs to provide challenging and safe travel experiences for youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Management of program budget; ensuring positive fiscal performance, dividing of funds for activities, supplies and program space. Full Time. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy or Human Services + 2 years’ experience. SEND RESUME TO: Seth Krakauer, Employee Development Manager, AHRC NYC 83 Maiden Lane, New York, NY 10038
